The Willow the Wallaby Series
Our flagship collection of heartfelt, high-quality picture books
At the heart of Oakvale Books is Willow the Wallaby—a small character with a big heart. As our flagship series, Willow’s stories set the tone for everything we believe in: inclusion, bravery, empathy, and the quiet strength found in kindness.
Willow's journey begins in Willow the Wallaby Saves the Day, a beautifully illustrated story about what it means to be part of a group—and how being different can be your greatest gift. Each book in the series is crafted to gently introduce children to big emotions and important themes, with language that's engaging, rhythmic, and easy to read aloud.
This growing series is designed to be treasured by:
-
Parents seeking meaningful stories for bedtime
-
Teachers exploring emotional learning in the classroom
-
Librarians curating inclusive, values-based picture books
With more adventures on the way, Willow will continue to explore the world with wide eyes and an open heart—helping young readers do the same.

Willow the Wallaby is a small, spirited wallaby with a big heart and an even bigger sense of adventure. She may be little, but she’s brave, thoughtful, and always ready to help her friends when it matters most.
In her stories, Willow learns important lessons about inclusion, kindness, and courage, showing young readers that being different can be a strength—and that even the smallest wallaby can make a big difference.

Keeva the Koala
Keeva the Koala is curious, clever, and just a little bit cautious. She loves climbing high and thinking deeply, always looking for peaceful ways to solve problems and help her friends feel heard and included.
Keeva’s stories gently explore themes of empathy, problem-solving, and quiet confidence, showing children that you don’t have to be the loudest to make a difference—and that kindness is a kind of courage too.

Kip the Kangaroo
Kip the Kangaroo rolls through life with a big heart and even bigger ideas.
Kip uses a wheelchair to get around, and while he might not hop like the other kangaroos, that’s never stopped him from joining in the fun—or leading the way. Whether he’s racing his friends across the grass, building obstacle courses, or helping someone feel included, Kip shows that strength doesn’t always come from jumping high—it can come from lifting others up.
Kind, clever, and always ready to try, Kip reminds young readers that everybody moves differently—and every way is just as wonderful.
His stories celebrate inclusion, determination, and the joy of being exactly who you are.
